2018-2011. Players are grouped according to age and skill. 12 skater max!

The Schedule:

  • Each day of the camp will include an hour of Bronwyn’s power-skating. Focusses will range from stride to edge to backwards to speed and conditioning. Each day of the week will concentrate on something new with Monday beginning on stride foundation & level I edges.

  • For the first time since BBHD opened, our March Break Camp will be offering a shooting and puck handling intensive led by Jr. players and lead instructors, Mark Brennan and Eric Li.

Bronwyn, Mark, and Eric will work with the group on wrist shots, snap shots, and slap shots, as well as puck handling skills (i.e., full speed skate with puck, tight area handling, and shooting off the pass).

  • On Wednesday and Friday of the camp, replacing the shooting hour, players will go through an hour of mobility/yoga and strength session.

Players will learn effective stretching methods to support their game development, and will go through a series of power yoga movements that aid in the strengthening of smaller muscles that directly correlate with on-ice performance.

Many players struggle with injuries due to improper or non-existent mobility training. Especially for skating techniques, developing strength, balance, and flexibility translates to pretty strides and immovable edges.

What Sets Us Apart

Unlike most hockey schools, BBHD’s programs, camps, and clinics are all designed with each individual player in mind. We get to know your kid because we don’t overwhelm the ice with twenty to thirty skaters. In fact, at most of our camps, we have a maximum of 12 skaters. This way, every player is guaranteed one-on-one development with one of our many talented coaches. We make power-skating fun because we create a team-dynamic filled with laughter, jokes, and hard work. We know the GTA hockey market well and understand the many layers to the landscape. Hockey should be fun—and we make sure that even the toughest conditioning skates manifest a renewed confidence and energy for the game.
